The jurors are in place and the Prospectus is ready! The For Pastels on Cape Cod, 2010 jurors of selection will be Margaret Dyer and Richard McKinley, with McKinley also serving as awards judge.
Deadline for entries: February 12, 2010.

Annual Meeting Held at Cotuit Center for the Arts
The PPSCC Annual Meeting and Election of Officers took place November 7th at Cotuit
Center for the Arts, at the close of the Annual Members' Show.

2009 PPSCC Annual Members' Show
The spacious gallery at Cotuit Center for the Arts was the site of the 2009 PPSCC Members' Show. The show took place October 9 - November 7 with a record number of members registering 108 paintings with show coordinators Elaine Cunniff and Sherry Rhyno.

Announcing "Paint Outs" Web Show
We are inviting members who have participated in Paint Out
sessions this year to send images of their paintings for a web gallery
show, which will be featured on our web site.

PPSCC Awards First Scholarship
The Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod set aside monies to fund our first scholarship this year. The award was to have been offered to a current high school senior from the School-to-Careers Art Internship Program through the Cape Cod Museum of Art, but the jury was so impressed with the caliber of work that two more scholarships were awarded!

Volunteer Positions Open: Can You Help?
PPSCC needs volunteers to assume four positions starting November, 2009:
- Treasurer: receives and disperses funds, prepares monthly financial reports, files PPSCC tax reports
Candidates for Treasurer must have computer skills, and knowledge of Quicken program. PPSCC will provide the Treasurer with computer software, laser jet printer, personal support and training for initial 4 weeks.
