Mums and Gourds

Pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes
16" x 24"

The beautiful Spider Mums were a gift of John and Caroline Elliot, much admired gardeners in Harwich. I set up this still life by putting their mums in a cut glass vase and added three gourds and black Japanese garden shears to balance the composition and unify the colors.
