Join our own past president and award winning artist, Shelly Eager for a life changing painting experience in Italy from June 1 to 8, 2019.
Our base for the week will be the extraordinary town of Piegaro in Umbria, for centuries the center of the glass blowing industry in Europe. We will stay in the original 13thcentury factory, now renovated into an outstanding hotel with private apartments for our artists. Each day will include trips to local hilltowns for painting, fabulous meals, instruction and critiques.
We will visit the Unesco world heritage site of La Foce Gardens, have an Italian cooking lesson, and experiment with glass fusion. Shelly will be accompanied by AnneEmerson, an accomplished pastel artist in her own right, member of the Copley Society, who will provide instructional backup and logistical support for the workshop.
The cost of the trip is $2800 and there are two spaces left. Spouses welcome for an additional $1000. Airfare not included. Please contact Anne Emerson (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.

Many of us seem to get so caught up with details. Our lives are run by details. But our paintings should not be. Spend two days with Shelly Eager learning ways to let go of the details and paint the impression of a scene with expression. There will be many loosening up activities and practical tips on how to let go of all the tightness we tend to paint with. You will feel freer and more energetic by the end of this course.

A Public Reception will be held on Saturday, April 7 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm, with live music by jazz trio Too Human, and light refreshments.
