Welcome PPSCC's new President, Dave Kaphammer
Dave Kaphammer takes over from former PPSCC President, Shelly Eager. Dave, along with Janet Schwartz, coordinated and ran our annual "For Pastels Only" exhibition in 2018. Here's what he has to say:
"I am humbled and honored to serve as president of this organization. I was brought in to participate in the PPSCC by Shelly, who made a strong case for giving back to the group. She also took steps to make it easier to contribute - using conferencing and online tools to allow those of us off-cape to participate, and documenting the work of each officer and position so new people will be able to get up to speed easily.
"As for my vision of the upcoming year - I want us to be open to new ideas. We don't always have to do things the same way we've always done them. The online member show is a good example of doing new things. I'm open to any new ideas - send me an email!
"There is some work to do, but it doesn't need to feel like work. From my experience with FPO, it can be fun, and collaborative, and a lot less work than you'd think. I'd like to encourage everybody in the organization to consider pitching in and help out any way you can. That only makes our group stronger and better, and at the same time connects us together as artists and friends.”

Our New Logo
PPSCC is 20!!! And, we are just delighted with our new logo. PPSCC has members from 30 states, and many from all over the commonwealth of Massachusetts and surrounding New England states.. The society was founded on Cape Cod, and it is home base for our board, thats why we felt it was important to stick with our roots and incorporate the shape of Cape Cod into our new logo.
There are many ways you can become more involved with PPSCC and meet some of our 250 members! You can volunteer to help with our Annual shows: our national For Pastels Only and our Member Show, or work on a specific project.
Whether you have a few hours to donate for a specific task or would like to be a part of our Board of Directors, we would love to hear from you! We are currently looking for someone who would like to become involved with PPSCC Marketing and Public Relations.
You can read more on our Volunteer page.
