Kim Morin Weineck
Kim Morin Weineck is an artist who concentrates on seeing beauty everywhere. She also strives to communicate the experience of a place in her work. “When someone says my painting makes them feel content, I know I’ve captured that essence which drew me to paint it originally.”
Her credentials include being a juried member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA), Signature Member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC), Artist member of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC), Foxboro Art Association (FAA), and the Marion Art Center (MAC). Kim is the founder and Instructor of the Neponset Valley Artists (NVA) an active painting atelier and is an instructor at Zullo Gallery in Medfield, MA.
Kim holds a BFA in Fine Art, 2D from Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she graduated with distinction. She found her artist-voice studying at the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art in Brittany, France, a program of study affiliated with the Rhode Island School of Design. Kim has served as Gallery Director at Gallery9, Norwood, MA. At the gallery she coached emerging artists on entering the local art community.
A mother to two young daughters, Kim describes herself as a happy wife struggling to find more time to be creative. Her creative schedule includes teaching and painting but also making illustrations and artwork for her agent at Blue Sky Arts. Downtime includes homemade jam for fresh scones some mornings and walking through the inspiring conservation land in her neighborhood with Hunter, the family dog.
