Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering to help with many of our one - time events is a wonderful way to meet and work with fellow artists. If you would like to work with the group on a more full time basis, sign up to be a board member! We welcome your interest, ideas and participation.

We currently need the following additions to our board of directors.

Treasurer
One must be meticulous in keeping records. Making deposits, writing checks, balancing accounts, and filing taxes for this non-profit entity would be part of this most important job. We would love it if someone in the financial area or retired from it would donate their time for this position. We would happily consider non-members for this role, so if you are not interested, perhaps you know someone who would be.

President
Running monthly board meetings, keeping a schedule of PPSCC events, participating in various sub committee meetings, and generally keeping us on track and moving forward.

Historian
Keeping a record of all printed PPSCC documents in notebooks.

Of course, we have many smaller jobs – some are ‘one-shot’ deals – for the events we hold:

• willing to hang shows
• willing to host show events
• help with Master Class events
• work on sub committees like “For Pastels Only” and Annual Meeting events
• artists interested in doing demos during shows and Annual Meeting events

For some of these positions you need not live on the Cape as you would only have to come to a single event.

PPSCC is an all-volunteer organization. Every member is welcomed and encouraged to participate as much as possible. The more you get involved, the more we can get accomplished, the stronger an organization and community we are, and the better all members are served.

All members are welcome to attend the monthly board meetings in Barnstable: the second Wednesday of every month, 6:00 pm, at the Cape Cod Conversatory off Route 132. Members are notified through Pastelink, our quarterly newsletter, and through email of special events and the Annual Meeting. Volunteer opportunities range from short, one time help to serving on committees, the board, and more.
